This morning we had a visit from Dan Abbott who took an assembly for us about aspirations.
Dan is local to Colchester and came to explain to the children how he has always had an interest in sharks. Growing up he was never sure of what career he wanted to pursue, but thanks to lots of hard work, dedication and his love of sharks he is now a photographer who specializes in wildlife photography.
His work has been featured in many wildlife programs and a video he took of jellyfish went viral. It shows that hard work really does pay off!
The main message from Dan today is that no matter what your passion is or what your dreams are, you too can be successful.
