Consultation on The Sigma Trust Admission Arrangements 2026/2027

The Sigma Trust is consulting on the 2026/27 admissions policy for Monkwick Junior School, an academy within The Sigma Trust.

The DfE’s 2021 statutory ‘School Admissions Code’ guidance requires the Trust to consult on admission arrangements when changes are proposed and at least once every seven years.

Due to falling rolls within the locality of Monkwick Junior School, we are proposing a reduction in the Published Admission Number (PAN) from 60 to 30 pupils for admissions into Year 3 in September 2026 for the 2026/2027 academic year only.

The consultation period will run from Friday, 20^th December 2024 until Friday, 31^st January 2025; during this time, parents/interested parties are invited to express their views and any concerns about the proposed changes to the admission arrangements at Monkwick Junior School.

At the end of the consultation period, the Trust Board will meet to consider responses. The outcome of the consultation will be published on the Trust and Monkwick Junior School’s websites as soon as possible following a decision being reached by the Board.
