Our Year 5 children are preparing for the challenges and responsibilities of Year 6!
In order to give them a taste of the world of work, our current year 5 children have been busy filling in job application forms to apply for the job responsibilities of Year 6. These include Playleaders, Assembly Assistants, Tuck Shop Assistants, Librarians and School Ambassadors. The children received job descriptions and person specifications for each one to help them choose and decide where their skills best matched!
Children then took part in interviews for the jobs, and we were so impressed! They had prepared well, talked confidently about their skills, and some of them even dressed in smart outfits to make a good impression! They were absolutely excellent – we were so proud of how every one of them approached the process seriously and thoughtfully. They were very convincing!
Year 5 now have their letters of employment, and we are looking forward to them starting in September.
We would also like to thank the current Year 6 helpers for all their hard work this year. They have carried out their duties responsibly and will be a credit to their secondary schools!
