Spring Term 2016 - The children in 6L have just started their next learning journey on writing stories with flashbacks. The children enjoyed showing their narrative skills during a writing session. Here are some examples from Aimee, Jack and Alana.
Autumn Term 2015
The children in Year 6, as part of their study of World War Two, have been learning to Jive. They have perfected a routine to "Jailhouse Rock" by Elvis Presley and "Dance with me Tonight" by Oli Murs. The children have really enjoyed learning the basic steps and routines. I'm sure they would love to show you at home !
Making teddy bears Linking to our work on World War II, 6L designed and made their own handmade felt teddy bears inspired by the toys which would have been sent with evacuees in their small suitcases. We had great fun giving our bears a bit of character and some clothes and accessories. Some of us chose to use running stitch and others chose back stitch. Some decided to sew the material faces together before turning the bear the right way round to stuff. This gave our bears a very professional finish! Take a look at our class photo of bears – aren’t they wonderful?
